Philosophy

Connection is everything.

It’s about the journey together.

“What I love most about orthodontics is being able to work with our patients towards a common goal. And we get to walk that journey together, appointment by appointment, getting to know each other beyond the orthodontics. Every small adjustment is a step forward — and then one day, the braces come off. Watching someone see their new smile for the first time, after everything we worked toward together, is always a surreal moment.”

Family

I grew up in Virginia but currently call downtown Chicago home. After completing my residency in Nebraska, I knew I wanted to plant my roots here in the Midwest. There’s a culture here that values honesty, hard work, and looking out for one another — values I grew up learning. I see those same values reflected in the AOS team and the patients and families I get to serve every day, and that means everything to me.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me running along the lakefront, attending a concert, or discovering a new neighborhood. Chicago has given me so much, and I’m committed to giving back through the care I bring to every patient and the community I’m proud to be part of.

Professional Associations

As an orthodontic specialist, I am committed to providing exceptional care and staying at the forefront of our profession through continuous learning and professional development. That’s why I’m proud to be an active member of these orthodontic organizations:

  • American Dental Association
  • American Association of Orthodontists
  • Midwestern Society of Orthodontists
  • World Federation of Orthodontists

At AOS, we are committed to delivering exceptional results and an outstanding patient experience. For me, that commitment begins with a passion for lifelong learning and a dedication to providing the highest quality care possible. I regularly participate in national and international orthodontic conferences, continuing education programs, and collaborative study groups to stay current with the latest advancements in orthodontics.

One aspect of orthodontics that I especially value is the opportunity to combine proven treatment techniques with innovative technology to create personalized treatment plans for every patient. By staying engaged with the latest research and developments in our field, I can provide modern, evidence-based care that helps patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.

Education

Virginia Commonwealth University has been a foundational part of my journey. It’s where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Business Management. It’s also where I went on to earn my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. During dental school, I had the privilege of volunteering with Mission of Mercy — a free dental clinic providing fillings and extractions to children and adults in need. It was a humbling reminder of why I chose this path and the difference accessible care can make in someone’s life.

From there, I completed my orthodontic residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where I earned both my Certificate in Orthodontics and my Master’s Degree in Biology. It was during these years that my passion for orthodontics truly deepened and brought me to the AOS team.
