Family

Dr. Chen lives with his partner and their two cats in the Chicago Loop Area. Dr. Chen was raised in Southeast Michigan, where his parents still live. He moved to Chicago in 2016 and fell in love with the area! As a Midwesterner, he enjoys winter activities such as ice skating, which he does all year round. His hobbies also include singing, cooking and hosting dinner parties, and traveling to new places to experience the culture.

Dr. Chen feels fortunate that the Chicagoland community has embraced his personality and style of practice and looks forward to deepening his relationship with patients and families as he helps them create amazing smiles. 

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS

Dr. Chen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He regularly participates in continuing education courses to stay current with all the advancements in orthodontics. Dr. Chen also maintains active memberships in national and local dental and orthodontic societies in order to provide the highest level of care and uphold professional standards and ethics

Education

Dr. Chen received his Bachelor’s degree in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and graduated #1 in his class. (He swears there must have been a tie, because his classmates are all so smart!) After that, he obtained his Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters in Oral Sciences at the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC). He was very proud to have represented his country and the Orthodontics Department when he sang the National Anthem at the UIC College of Dentistry Graduation Ceremony.
